Max B Granted Appeal! Owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
XXL reports:
Mr. Wavy may wash ashore sooner than expected. XXLMag.com spoke with incarcerated rapper Max B’s manager, Joli O’Shay, earlier today (Mar. 19) and she says the Harlemite was recently granted an appeal in his murder case.
According to O’Shay, Max is now sitting tight as he awaits an actual appeal date. Once that comes in the MC known as Biggavelli, has a new lawyer to fight for his innocence. “He’s gonna try hopefully to go back to trial, or get it a mistrial or get it time served, whatever we can do,” she said.
As previously reported, Max was sentenced to 75 years in prison on September 3, 2009 for orchestrating a 2006 robbery that left a man slain in a Fort Lee, New Jersey hotel.
The former Jim Jones protégé was convicted of felony murder, aggravated manslaughter, kidnapping, armed robbery and conspiracy.
O’Shay, who speaks to Max daily, says he’s in good spirits about the appeal.

Currensy XXL Interview
New Orleans native Curren$y has seen a lot. After running through deals with No Limit and Lil Wayne and Baby Birdman’s Young Money/Cash Money, the self-proclaimed Hot Spitta decided to do things on his own terms. In 2008, he hustled online with highly downloaded mixtapes like Independence Day and Higher Than 30,000 Feet. The buzz he created helped Curren$y earn a spot on XXL’s 2009 Freshmen cover (which dropped in December 2008). After the look, things began moving slow for Spitta, who went on to drop two digitally retailed albums with Amalgam (This Ain’t No Mixtape and Jet Files) in 2009, before hooking up with former Roc-A-Fella Co-CEO Damon Dash. Now, as part of Dame’s Creative Control/DD172 collective, Curren$y seems to be finally taking off!
XXLMag.com: Since being on XXL’s Freshmen cover, what has the past year and change been like for you?
Curren$y: I think I turned it up at the end. It got crazy at the end.
XXLMag.com: You did turn it up. What were the difficulties for you after the cover in the beginning?
Curren$y: I think once I started moving around a little bit more, I realized that I could do more for my city if I got out of it. I was trying to do everything from right there and that was closing off a lot of access to shit I needed to reach more people. So once I started moving around a little more, I made more connections and shit and I was able to get my hands on more of the shit I needed. Me spending more time in New York definitely turnt that shit up.
XXLMag.com: When did you decide that coming to New York would be a benefit for you?
Curren$y: I came out here like around September or October [2009], spending more time out here. Instantly I started seeing the effect of what I can do and the shit that I can get done as opposed to the amount of shit I get done when I shoot back to [New Orleans]. Once I noticed how much shit I was getting done in New York, I moved out here and started staying with my homeboy. Then once that shit started happening with Dame, I moved out here so I can be close to the Creative Control offices. Now I can shoot videos whenever I want to.

I can honesty say I'm a huge fan of the summertime!
The sneakers are crazy..the color combinations are perfect..and the new styles take all risk! But its not up to the designers to make you look good its up to you to make there creations look well put together..I'm tired of seeing everything so cliche and that goes for the guys and girls...fellas if your going to do the "white boy" look don't take it so literally...if you throw a lil hood shit in there trust me YOU WILL STILL BE FLEE lol..in my opinion you will be making yourself stand out a lil more and not look like your following a trend...now on to the ladies....(Long pausing) there's so much I can say about what us girls do wrong sometimes in the summer but I'm going to just sum it up like this DONT LOOK UP TO LOCAL HOOD CELEBS FOR TRENDS LOOK TO THE VOGUE AND ELLE TRENDS THEY ARE BOOTLEGGING! Its 2010 invent yourself not someone else ya digg! Individuality shows personality.....personality reflects style...so what kind of person are you?

D'Angelo got caught attempting to exchange money for oral sex from an undercover police officer.
Smfh.
It's safe to say there's no need for a trial...
Look at his face.
He may have fallen on hard times, but this is ridiculous!
Grammy Award-winning R&B singer D'Angelo was arrested early yesterday after allegedly offering an undercover policewoman $40 for oral sex while cruising alone through the West Village -- with $12,000 stashed in his SUV.
D'Angelo, 36, whose real name is Michael Archer, was in his top-of-the-line Range Rover at Greenwich and Horatio streets at about 2:30 a.m. when he spotted a woman he took to be a prostitute, sources said.
He was arrested and charged with solicitation after asking the woman for sex, the sources said. His manager declined to comment.

A Year Without Weezy (Good or Bad?)
Unless you've been living under a rock this past year, you are aware that Wayne will be doing a year bid at Rikers Island in New York for a gun charge. It kills me when people that never have been to jail say "man he only doing a year" lmao Jail not a place an average person wants to be, let alone a super-rich celebrity who enjoys the luxuries of wealth on a daily basis. His year is gonna be much longer than our regular year is. Just think, he will miss 4 quarters of being in the public eye. His time is obviously much more valuable than ours. The question is will he benefit from this or will it be detrimental to him?
I think alot of people have the misconception that jail-time automatically will make you hot after you released. " Yo when Shyne get out he gonna have fire he been writing for 10 years!n he gonna come out with his mind right"....
C'mon son.
You think a nigga that comes out of jail with a bow-tie and Abe Lincoln hat in 2010 has his mind right? I think not...smfh you look crazy Shyne.
Everyone aint Pac, I know ya'll heard Shyne's verses on that DJ Khaled record smfh.
Personally, I was a fan of the Carter 2 and havn't been too fond of his work following that. So from that standpoint, I think this year may benefit him musically.
What do you think?...
I mean it will give him a chance to sober up a bit, although it's not a secret that drugs can get in the jail, and I'm sure they will find there way in there given his celebrity status, but I don't think he will be as doped up as he is on the outside. It will give him time to reflect and just write without all them drugs in his system. And besides, he's been working prior to his sentencing anyway so he is gonna remain relevant despite him not physically being on the outside. Whether you love or hate him, his talent is undeniable, I just feel he has lost substance in his bars in recent years. But what do I know, he sold a million in a week, and to a lot of you thats all that matters.
And Wayne is a SUPER-star, so this wont halt his wave, not at all, especially with Drake on the outside holding Young Money down (that new single "Over" is fire I don't care what none of you say). Drake is definitely runnin' with that torch held high, with his biscuit face lol.
I do think that T.I will benefit a bit from Wayne's year off though. I mean, Tip is fire whether Wayne is in or out regardless but he could really take off crazy with one of the other hip hop heavyweights in the can....especially with him just comin' off that stretch he just did.
Feel free to share your thoughts on this.
GoodLoox
Man this don't have nothing to do with nothing but look at this fool
Cmon man they need to send him to the bing too, just for this, so he can get his mind right. You like 64 with stars all on the baldie you should be ashamed of yourself fam. smmfh
